Uganda seeks serious, mutually beneficial partnerships, says PSST Ggoobi

Uganda’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Nimisha Madhvani, said the country stands at a pivotal point in its development journey under the leadership of President Yoweri Museveni.

LONDON, April 22, 2026 — The Permanent Secretary and Secretary to the Treasury [PSST], Ramathan Ggoobi, has invited United Kingdom investors to partner with Uganda, urging them to invest and prosper alongside the country.

Ggoobi made the remarks on Wednesday at a Mining and Energy luncheon organised by the Ugandan High Commission in London, in partnership with the Eastern Africa Association and the Westminster Africa Business Association.

The luncheon, held at the Palace of Westminster in the House of Lords, was convened under the theme “Opportunities for Growth and Investment.” Ggoobi said Uganda stands at the intersection of resource abundance, policy reform and rising global demand for energy transition materials.
