Trade, Industry and Cooperatives PS, Amb. Julius Onen passes on

Kampala, Uganda: The Cooperative Industry on Monday woke up to the sad news of the passing on of Trade Industry and Cooperative Permanent Secretary, Ambassador Julius Onen.

Onen who just returned recently from a specialized treatment in India died on Sunday night at Paragon Hospital in Bugolobi.

The Ministry for Trade in its Twitter page released on Sunday night noted: “With deep sorrow, the Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Cooperatives announces the demise of the Permanent Secretary Amb. Julius B. Onen. May his soul rest in eternal peace,” the ministry tweeted on Sunday night.

Onen who was aged 60 was also serving as a board member of the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)

James Onen, also known as Fatboy, One of his children who works in Sanyu FM said the death of their dad had left the family in great shock.

He said the family and the ministry would soon release the burial arrangements.
