FUFA Juniors League: Fixtures, dates for national championship confirmed

KAMPALA – The fixtures and dates for the 2022/23 FUFA Juniors League [U17] National championship have been confirmed.

The six-day tournament will get underway on July 23, 2023, and run up to July 28, 2023, at the FUFA Technical Centre, Njeru.

The five teams that emerged winners in their respective regions will report to Njeru on 23rd July and also undergo screening on the same day.

The FUFA Juniors League National championship will be the climax of this year’s regional leagues which is happening for the first time since the change in format.

Five regions out of eight that is Kampala, Eastern, Western, Buganda and Kitara organised the Juniors League [U17]in this edition and the winners will play at Njeru in a round robin format with each set to play four games during the five match days.

Vipers SC JT, Prosper Soccer Academy, Bul FC JT, Mbarara Soccer Academy and Friends of Soccer Academy emerged winners in the Buganda, Kampala, Eastern, Western and Kitara regions respectively.

The team with most points collected from the four games will be crowned National champions.
