CBS FM to mark 29 years with major trade and agribusiness fairs
CBS, along with its affiliates—CBS Fans Clubs, CBS PEWOSA NGO, CBS PEWOSA SACCOs, and Akezimbira—will each have a dedicated day during the events, promoting broad participation and sector-specific engagement

KAMPALA, June 2, 2025 – – As CBS FM Radio celebrates 29 years of broadcasting, it is gearing up to host two flagship events aimed at driving economic growth, supporting local businesses, and transforming Uganda’s agricultural sector. The CBS PEWOSA Trade Fair and the CBS PEWOSA Agribusiness Fair are scheduled for June and September 2025, respectively.
The trade fair, taking place from 17th to 22nd June at Lubiri-Mengo, and the agribusiness fair, from 3rd to 8th September at Ssaza Grounds, Masaka City, are expected to attract thousands of visitors, exhibitors, and industry stakeholders.
The 2025 editions of these fairs are particularly significant as they coincide with CBS Radio’s 29th anniversary. CBS, along with its affiliates—CBS Fans Clubs, CBS PEWOSA NGO, CBS PEWOSA SACCOs, and Akezimbira—will each have a dedicated day during the events, promoting broad participation and sector-specific engagement.
Promoting business growth and innovation
The CBS PEWOSA Trade Fair remains one of the most prominent platforms for showcasing Uganda’s cottage industries and SMEs. Known for empowering grassroots entrepreneurs, the fair offers an excellent space for companies to present their products and services to a vast consumer base, investors, and potential partners.
“This year’s edition is set to be the biggest yet,” said Denis Kavulu, Sales Executive at CBS PEWOSA Trade Fair. “With greater participation from our affiliate organisations, we expect even larger crowds and more diverse networking opportunities for businesses.”
Meanwhile, the CBS PEWOSA Agribusiness Fair will focus on advancing the agricultural sector through technology, sustainability, and financial inclusion. As one of Uganda’s most influential agribusiness platforms, the fair brings together farmers, agritech innovators, service providers, and policymakers.
“This is where agriculture meets innovation,” said Kavulu in letter dated May 30, 2025 . “We want to bridge gaps in the value chain, connect rural producers to modern solutions, and help transform farming into a profitable, future-facing enterprise.”
Why businesses should participate
The organisers are encouraging companies to take advantage of the platform, highlighting four key benefits:
Unmatched visibility – With CBS Radio’s expansive reach and extensive media coverage, exhibitors are assured of exceptional brand exposure.
Diverse networking – The events will attract participants from various sectors, offering exhibitors valuable opportunities to build partnerships and explore new markets.
Strategic opportunities – Both fairs are uniquely positioned to help businesses tap into Uganda’s growing agricultural and SME sectors.
Collaborative growth – The events are community-centred and focused on inclusive development.
