WOCCU: 2024 Digital Growth Award nominations open
MADISON, Wis., January 14, 2024 —Nominations are open for World Council of Credit Unions’ [ WOCCU] 2024 Digital Growth Award, which will recognise one or more member credit union associations or individual member credit unions for successfully working toward Challenge 2025 goal of expanding digital transformation across the globe.
Nominees must show they have implemented a digital solutions that is: Inclusive, by expanding financial inclusion by reaching members of underserved communities, innovative- groundbreaking for your organisation by reducing costs, streamlining operations or improving member experience; and can be scaled up for use or replication by other credit union associations or credit unions in your country or region.
“We continue to be amazed each year by the number of innovative digital solutions our members and their credit unions are implementing to drive financial inclusion and build more resilient communities around the globe,” said WOCCU President and CEO Elissa McCarter LaBorde. “As we launch our fourth annual Digital Growth Award nominations, we encourage more applicants to demonstrate how they are leaning in to bring cutting edge financial solutions to more underserved populations.”
2024 nominations must be submitted by a World Council member association or a credit union affiliated with one of those associations by March 1, 2024.
An independent panel of judges comprised of digital financial experts in the credit union sector and beyond will evaluate all nominations and select the recipients.
Digital Growth Award recipients will receive one free registration to the 2024 World Credit Union Conference [WCUC] in Boston [USA], July 21-24. Award recipients will be announced and honored during WOCCU’s Annual General Meeting in Boston on Monday, July 22.
WOCCU is the global trade association and development platform for credit unions. World Council promotes the sustainable development of credit unions and other financial cooperatives around the world to empower people through access to high quality and affordable financial services.
World Council advocates on behalf of the global credit union system before international organizations and works with national governments to improve legislation and regulation. Its technical assistance programmes introduce new tools and technologies to strengthen credit unions’ financial performance and increase their outreach.
