Uganda Parliamentary SACCO to hold 21st AGM this Friday

KAMPALA, November 27, 2025 — The Uganda Parliamentary Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Limited will hold its 21st Annual General Meeting [AGM] this Friday, according to Chief Executive Officer Methods Mureebe Muhanuka.

The AGM, which is expected to attract parliamentarians, parliamentary staff and other invited guests, will take place at the parliamentary parking lot. The Speaker of Parliament, Annet Anita Among, is expected to preside as Chief Guest.

During the previous AGM, held on September 13, 2024, it was reported that the SACCO had 791 members and a share capital of approximately Shs 5.2 billion as at June 30, 2024. Loans and advances stood at around Shs 34.6bln for the same period, while fixed savings amounted to roughly Shs 36.5bln.

It was further revealed that the SACCO’s total portfolio had grown from about Shs 67.5bln in 2023 to approximately Shs 76bln by the end of June 2024. This growth was attributed to increased savings, as well as growth in equity and institutional capital.
