Uganda moved back into 6th, pushing Wales down to 7th, after going unbeaten throughout the Celtic Cup and defeating the Welsh Feathers 70 – 48 on the final day of the competition.

Five Regional Qualifiers will take place in 2026, to determine the remaining 10 teams, with the top two from each qualifier invited to compete in the NWC2027, which is set to take place from the August 25– 5th September 5, 2027.

Speaking on the news WN President Dame Liz Nicholl DBE said: “Congratulations to the first six teams that have qualified to be invited to the Netball World Cup Sydney 2027.

“This is a very special moment for the athletes, support teams and their national federations.

“It is a testament to your hard work, consistent performances, and world-class abilities.

“To have all five of our Regions once again represented in the top six of the World Netball World Rankings highlights the global and competitive nature of our growing sport, of which I am very proud.”

Elsewhere in the table the biggest jump came from Canada who moved up 17 places from 47th to 30th following their success in the Battle of the Isles, whilst Guadeloupe joined the WN World Rankings at joint 50th and Bermuda at 20th, having both now played the minimum number of games required [8] due to their involvement in the same series.
