HOUSTON, April 2, 2025 – – Brazil’s Cerrado Coffee Growers Cooperative [Expocacer], known for its specialty coffee, recently launched a new e-commerce platform at the Specialty Coffee Expo 2025 in Houston, United States.
The new e-commerce platform aims to revolutionise the way buyers around the world purchase coffee from the cooperative, and is said to offer a fast, secure, and transparent process.
“This e-commerce space will allow buyers from across the globe to purchase coffee directly from Expocacer’s producers with the convenience and security of a digital environment,” says Ítalo Henrique, Expocacer’s Commercial Director.
“During the event, visitors will have the chance to register and explore the new platform, which promises to streamline the process of buying and trading specialty coffee. The cooperative aims to establish new strategic partnerships and optimise logistical processes, making international transactions faster and more efficient, whether for large, medium, or small volumes.”
Expocacer will also showcase the launch of new labels and product lines at the international Expo.
“This new coffee offering underscores Expocacer’s commitment to its cooperative members and the sustainability of coffee production in the region, blending innovation with social and environmental responsibility,” says Simão Pedro de Lima, CEO of Expocacer.
The cooperative was at the booth 128 and hosted a variety of activities, including tastings and exclusive samples from the new labels. Cupping sessions were also held.
Expocacer sells more than 1 million 60-kilo-equivalent sacks of green coffee annually to more than 30 countries, according to the group. Over the past decade, the organization has also been engaged in hosting and promoting Brazil’s Cup of Excellence program, with numerous Expocacer-affiliated producers winning CoE awards.
Focuses on regenerative agriculture practices and specialty coffee provenance were a large part of Expocacer’s recent 30th anniversary celebration in 2023, during which the group unveiled the rebranding and signed a letter of intent with the state of Minas Gerais Institute of Historical Artistic Heritage regarding MG’s coffee culture.
