Local SACCO donates computer equipment to Kasese school

KASESE, October 22, 2025 — Stride Development SACCO has donated a brand-new desktop computer and printer to Nyamwamba Seed Secondary School in Kasese Municipality, in a move aimed at streamlining the school’s administrative operations.

The donation was officially handed over on Monday by SACCO Manager Jofred Rwamanyonyi Bwambale, who reiterated the organisation’s commitment to supporting education and digital literacy in the district.

“As a community-based financial institution, we believe in investing in the future of our children,” Bwambale said during the handover ceremony. “While this equipment is primarily intended to improve administrative efficiency, we also hope it encourages the integration of ICT in everyday school management.”

Bwambale added that the SACCO leadership remains committed to promoting computer skills among learners, which are increasingly essential in today’s digital world.

Receiving the donation, the school’s headteacher, Amon Rukundo, expressed deep gratitude to Stride Development SACCO, describing the gesture as timely and impactful.

“This donation will go a long way in easing our administrative work, especially record-keeping and documentation,” said Rukundo. “As a relatively new institution, we are grateful for partners like Stride SACCO who see the value in supporting education.”

He further encouraged other organisations and community members to emulate the SACCO’s initiative in supporting local schools.

Nyamwamba Seed Secondary School, which opened its doors only recently, is among several government-aided seed schools established to expand access to secondary education in underserved areas.
