2025 PLE results to be released on Friday

A total of 818,010 candidates registered for the 2025 PLE, which took place in November 2025

KAMPALA, January 29, 2026 — The Uganda National Examinations Board [UNEB] has announced that the 2025 Primary Leaving Examination [ PLE ] results will be released this Friday, marking a key moment for thousands of candidates, parents, and schools across the country.

The results will be released by the Minister of Education and Sports Janet Kataaha Museveni at State Lodge, Nakasero.

UNEB officials say preparations are complete for the release, which will provide insight into learners’ performance and inform placement into secondary schools.

A total of 818,010 candidates registered for the 2025 PLE, which took place in November 2025. This cohort included 428,398 girls and 389,589 boys, representing a 2.5 percent increase in total registration from the 797,444 candidates who registered in 202

The release is expected to draw nationwide attention as families await the outcome of the first major national examinations under the current education cycle.
